Here's my continuation post from the previous one.
There's just too much to fit into a post.
Life's just so happening isn't it? :p
Monday, I accompanied Jeremy to Takashimaya to get Taka vouchers
for his colleague who was leaving the company. Nice to meet up with the
darlz. :) Was supposed to go SIM to hand in all my certs, but I haven't
photocopied them yet and I haven't taken a decent passport photograph.
Should do it real soon, any more of my procrastination could lead to
a failed future. I wouldn't wanna risk my future once again.
After we got the vouchers, we were thinking of a place to eat.
Jer says to get out of town and I totally agreed with him.
Too much of town-ness could really get one sick. Haha.
We were contemplating between Dhoby Ghaut, Hougang and City Square Mall.
We decided on the latter, so we took a train to Farrer Park and headed for
City Square Mall of which Jeremy hadn't been to. He was curious about this
new Eco mall.
Truth be told, there was nothing much in the mall. Not like the ones at Tampines or
Harbourfront, you get the idea. We were just looking around when we settled for
KFC. Haha. Chicken again. It's fine, at least it's not Friday. So it's cool.
We went our separate ways home and I got to sit the circle line back to Paya Lebar.
This particular mrt line is really fast. If I have a chance, I'd like to take it again,
the whole journey of course.
Then came Tuesday, which was a Home Sweet Home day. As I was about to knock
off, the weather had to play a joke on me. The sky was dark and I knew it was going
to rain. The weather made me a lazy girl, so I rang dad up to ask him to pick me up.
Smart, ain't I? Haha. Dad's such a sweetie, rushed all the way to my office and waited
for like 20mins for me coz I was rushing some stuffs. Sigh. The things that parents do
for me at times really make me feel like a total sucker. *poof*
We went to 85 and I packed dinner for everyone. I didn't mind that, I kinda enjoyed it.
I was home earlier than usual, which was really good! I had so much time in hand.
I could watch Gossip Girl with my sister and play games and all. Fun.
Before the end of the night, I even had time to play Viwawa games with Bay. :)
A nice Tuesday to be home.
As for today, as promised, there will be updates for my parent's 26th Anniversary.
It's hard to believe that my parents have been married for 26 years, just a year past
the jubilee. Oh Gosh! Puts the young married couples to shame. No one believes in
monogamy or keeping to your marriage vows anymore. Faithfulness and chastity
are just like old toys waiting to be thrown away, just a matter of time. Sad but true.
The one you got married to or you married was the very one you fell deeply in love
with, so how could someone bring up the D word, like it was some catch phrase
for a commercial? -shakes head-
Alrite, back to the topic. So my sister and I rushed all the way to Mimolette in a cab
of course, this place is unreachable without transport. The driver was really good.
He knows his way round, thanks to the many Caucasians who have been the saddle's club.
We reached our destination with ease and the cab fare wasn't too expensive.
It was a wonderful sight, Brent, the operations Manager of Mimolette got everything set.
It was well prepared and it all went smoothly. I'm so glad he actually helped us out.
I paid for the meal, $202 in cold hard cash, told the guy to keep the change. The bill
was $201.57 to be exact. It was mostly 10 dollar notes, thanks to the ATM at Newton MRT station.
Must have ran out of $50 notes. Haha.
My sister and I filled the table with purple rose petals. My mum's favourite colour is purple.
So that explains the colour of the rose as well. Purple rose petals over a white and black table
cloth. Sweet.. Not to mention, two stalks of roses costs me 12 bucks. My sis said it was
daylight robbery. LOL.
Waited for my parents to turn up to present my mum with the flower.
Took them so long just to climb up the stairs. Reason to it, I said it was too early
and the food wasn't ready. What an excuse. Bleahz. Haha. The folks were shocked to
see the both of us, but i know that they're happy.
Nudged my parents to have a great dinner and enjoy their meal and off we went home in
a cab. The cab driver got lost, but he apologised, so it was fine.
On the way back, my sister noticed that he was about to fall asleep, but I would say,
he looked more like he was gonna pry onto one of us. :/
We were home, my sis went out to have dinner with her colleague. So it was left with
ah kong, my 2 dogs and me. We watched television together and I ate the beef sandwich
made by my Chairman whose birthday happens to be today as well. Coincidence eh? :)
When my parents came back, they had a lot to say. Many of which were good feedback,
so I was really contented, the money was well spent. Kudos to my sister for helping me
out as well. Lucky for my parents, they took pictures and video that they would remember
for life. (That is if my mum does not trade in her Iphone.) Haha.
As a daughter, I've done my part and I wish my parents more blissful anniversaries to
come and may they be happy always. Loving them no matter what, yours truly :)
Till then, Good Night. I wish I had the privilege to receive surprises once in awhile too.
* City Square Mall, Eco, Friendly and memorable. :)
